Ella
Mercier
My name is Ella Mercier, and I have been a part of the Broadway Mentors Program for four years now. I have learned so much being a part of this program and I have made many friends here. I have been singing since I learned how to talk, and it has become such a significant part of my life. I began studying under Joy Lober Anderson when I was 10 years old, in fifth grade. I had taken a bevy of Masters Classes before we went into quarantine with Anastasia Barzee, Merri Sugarman, Randy Graff, and multiple recording classes with Jeffery Lesser. While the country was in lockdown, I have taken Zoom classes with Ron Bohmer, Andrea Burns, and Telly Leung. While in quarantine, I started to find what kind of music and genres that I like to sing, and began writing songs. Over these years and during quarantine, Joy has been a mentor to me and has helped me become more confident and sure of myself as a person, and as a performer.
